Really not too sure what to make of all this Heresy stuff… On the one hand, I like the exploration of a time, pre-40k. On the other, I just find the models to be tediously rehashed models, already pumped out by FW.

I just want Forgeworld to release more Primarches…

In other news; I have a new project! :D
One of my house mates (the only one I’d really say was a proper friend atm, lol asocial) wants me to build and paint his space marine army he’s buying. LOTS OF MODELS. :D

Other other news; I’m now teaming up with my Fiance for commissions, I’ll build/base/convert/ and paint to table top standard any thing (read ANYTHING) you want. And she’ll paint the bad-arse centerpiece models. Seriously, she’s amazing. Entered Golden Daemon this year too. Oh, and if you want her; contact through this page please. Warhammer/Magic the Gathering cards! :D

These are just a few, if people like (of if I do regardless :3), what’re peoples thoughts on me showing all of them? Comments and Critisicms all welcome as well. And the art’s not actually mine (lol), I’ve just put my name there to show it’s my card. All art are copyright Games Workshop (atm) and etc, etc. :3

Also, is there any thing in particular that people would like to see as Magic the Gathering cards? Do tell, I’d like a challenge. Thoughts?

So, new blog, new models, new rules.

Firstly, here’s a model I’ve recently purchased, and am now going to paint (read- nearly finished, just camera’s lost… :P ) for a competition at the local Games Workshop.

Secondly, I’ve decided to lay out some basic ground rules for commission works.

• Centre piece models will cost significantly more, as they take much more time, effort, paint, bits, etc. And so are negotiable on a model by model basis. Simple works are always accepted. And by this I mean things ranging from “Failcast ruined my {insert expensive model} can you fix it?” to “just bought this ten-year-old’s tank on Ebay, can you strip/remodel/repaint/cannibalise it?”. Prices are negotiable here too.
• Standard rank and file models work at approx. 50p per model, per thing. Things include; basing, painting, converting, etc. So for 20 Skaven models to be based and painted; it’d cost around £20. Because I’m insane, and I like doing it, converting and building the actual models will be free (unless that’s all you want me to do, even then it’ll be cheap). Bar the price of any additional pieces needed.
• Elites models, or selective units that you want painted/converted to a higher standard, will cost between 75p and £1 per thing, per model. Obviously the better/more elaborate you want, the higher the price.
• Payment is done in two steps (preferably via Paypal or in person). A first payment, to cover any models and/or pieces, will be required before work begins. Then, when the project is finished and you’re COMPLETELY satisfied, the final payment for work will be needed. After this I shall return/resend the models back to you. Any postage being covered in this second fee.
• Work is generally quick to do, most projects taking less than a month, larger/more complicated ones will obviously take longer. I can do “Express” work, if you want it quicker, but this will cost an additional 20% on the charge, as I spend literally all my time (free or not) working on it.
• Last thing is; if I complete the project, and you fail to respond to repeated attempts at contact for 2 whole months (via tumblr, email, or phone), then I reserve the right to put the project up for resale.

If you want to know ANYTHING at all, even just random quotes of prices, please don’t hesitate to ask. All prices are negotiable, all postage is Royal Mail first class (unless you have a preference other than), and as I said, if you can get to anywhere within the Oxfordshire area (of England that is) then there is no postage charge. And any first time commissions will be significantly cheaper than normal ones.

Recently at our local GW store, we had a “Demon in a Day” painting competition, unfortunately I had to work (boo) and so missed it.

However, my girlfriend did. What’s more, the judging is done via votes on the shop’s Facebook page. A few, minor updates.

Firstly, DakkaJet painting! :D Ignore the tail fins, I ran out of aerosol for them, so they’ll be finished… soon. I got a lesson at the FLGS about weathering vehicles; I think it went pretty well on the Jet as a first try at the technique. Definitely be using it for more practise though. Also, I’m painting my Big Mek right now. Kinda. Sorta. Will do.

In other news, I’ve done my A levels! All finished. Huzzah. I’m also attempting to get a job. So:

Advertising!! Cheap commissions. Please contact me about them. Even if you’ve just got a box of guys, a tank, a Finecast (or even Failcast if you mail ordered it) model; I’ll build them! I’ll build, convert, undercoat, paint, ‘ardcoat; or any combination of them. Postage is cheap, and if you can get to Oxfordshire; then it’s free! Prices range, and are all negotiable, and cheap. Lower end of commissions, not for standard (lol) but because I’m starting out. :D Oh, and small print: “If you do not reply, and fail to make contact for two months, with no sounds at all, and not telling me before hand that you can’t contact me, I reserve the right to sell off your model/job to the highest bidder. So, an email address would be nice, just in case. By the way, this isn’t me being harsh, all commissioners do this, I was just dim enough to not mention this before. :3

Sorry it’s been a while, exams and… shit… yeah… great.

Anyway; DakkaJet is now red, hurray for spray guns. Boo for low propellant. An objective, and a Mek assistant. Finally, (not shown) the Bawss Mek is nearly done, I’m planning a Ghazzy-plastic make (when I get money, lol no) and the Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun is nearly finished. Thanks for looking.

-I’m in dire need of money. And I can’t seem to get a hold of my client for Nurglitch. If anyone knows if something’s happened to epitomeoffreud, please say. Contacting him would help, as he’s either not getting, or ignoring; my Tumblr messages. Also, if anyone’s feeling evil, and wanting of the Nurglitch model; then offers won’t be 100% ignored… but that’s not business, I’m just desperate for money. It’s so awesome. Seriously, it’s so awesome to build, so many spare parts, looks so cool, and is a beast in play. Calling a Waaagh! (extra with Weirdboy!) it gets 18 strength 6 shots, all with BS:3 and twin linked. :D for 125 points. :D

Also, Bawss Mek has a few fixes, greenstuff added and arm attached properly. Working on rules and his backpack.

Big Mek with Shock Attack Gun is painted, but his gun and spare arm are still WIP.

Thoughts? C&C?

Second, my Orks are getting up gunned. Oh, and DAKKAJET WANT. :D

Second it’s coming out, I’m getting one. Fingers crossed and all that Jazz.

Anyway, I’ve also got this Boomgun, made from a Tau ion cannon and mount, and some plasticard tubing. It’s going to be mounted on a twice looted rhino, but’ll have to face backwards (lol), any thoughts?

So, Games-Day tickets! :D First time I’ll have ever been, what’s more; the store did a mini Golden Daemon competition, and a Scrap Daemon too.

I got Silver in large model for my daemon prince (who I showed a photo of long ago, and have now finally painted) and… a free Mek Boss in scrap daemon :D no award, but still… free model!

Also I’m thinking of making rules for the Boss Mek, along with my custom Ghazzy based Warboss. Anyone be interested in me posting them?

So, Nurglitch is finished. Next! :D

Current background project is my Orks. After sorely losing to Space Wolves, and Blood Angels, even with GhazGhkull leading the charge(!), I’ve decided they need “Moar Dakka!”. With that in mind, soon I’ll have a 10 boy strong Loota squad (over my old 5), 10 Tankbustas, 20 ‘Ard boyz (over 10 before) and a shokk attack gun Big Mek.

Also, here’s a concept picture of my next model, Gor-Rok of the Lizardmen!
